Invasive procedures currently used risk miscarriage and damage to the foetus.A Stanford University test of DNA evidence in 18 pregnant women’s blood correctly identified nine cases of Down’s syndrome, reports PNAS journal.

If this check up is made for abortion reasons then I’m so much against it. What kind of value are we giving the people with disabilities who make up an important part of our societies when we take such a step? it kind of sends a message that people with disabilities don’t deserve to live and should be terminated before they are born. who decides which babies deserve to live, and which deserve to die? these are all stuff that we need to think about.
